FEDERAL GERMANY SHOULD STOP THE VIOLATION OF LAW DIRECTED TOWARDS MUSLIMS
German Islam Conference (Deutsche Islam Konferenz-DIK) gathered in 2006-2007-2008 and it gathered again on 25 June 2009 and dispersed.
The basic purpose of German Islam Conference is determining the judicial statue of Islam and accordingly determining the answerer community to educate Islamic religious books in schools.
Germany has nearly a population of 5 million Muslims. The religion of Islam is not accepted as a formal religion and 5 million Muslims and therefore 800 thousand Muslim students are deprived of religious lessons. This is a clear violation of rights.
Constitution of Federal Germany clause 3, paragraph 3 says ‘nobody can be mistreated or privileged because of his/her sex, affinity, nationality, language, country and origin, belief, religion or political view’
As well in other clauses of constitution, religion, conscience and belief freedom is guaranteed. It is stated that religious and conscience freedom, religious and secular belief freedom is intangible. Also religion is guaranteed to be practiced without interference.
Besides Constitution of Germany settled religious lesson’s legal statue at clause 7. Accordingly it is stated that “parents have the right to determine their children’s participation of religious lessons. Religious lesson, except supra communion schools, is a regular lesson in public schools. On condition that state reserves the right to control, religious lessons are given congruently with religious communities.”
The legal rights clearly stated in Constitution of Germany are not given to Muslims for nearly half century. Islamic constitutions’ struggle of seeking their rights for 30 years is rejected because of the obstacle that ‘there is no answering community’
German Islam Conference the last of which held in Berlin could not solve this problem. Apart from solving the problem some anti Muslim people invited to the conference create new troubles.
German Muslims should be given all of their legal rights. German authorities should take determined steps aimed at giving the legal rights of Muslims.
We, as MAZLUMDER, invite Federal Germany to maintain an attitude in accordance with the constitutional principle that ‘nobody can be mistreated or privileged because of his/her belief, religion’ and also state that we will be the follower of violation of rights about this issue.
