An internal conflict is broken out between Chinese workers and east Turkistan workers in Guang Dong province, Sao Guan city, China. To protest this conflict demonstrations are arranged in Umrici, the capital of east Turkistan.
Bloody events are broken out at the demonstrations on 5 July 8, 2009 at afternoon because governmental forces are responded to civil demonstrators with guns. According to formal authority 140 civil people, (but according to independent sources 1500 civil people) died and hundreds of them are injured.
East Turkistan is nearly 2,5 times bigger than Turkiye and at the center of Asia and nearly 35 million Muslim are living in the country. Since 1876 east Turkistan has been oppressed by china’s occupation with different names as Mancurs, Communists and etc. The name of this area is historically Sharki Turkistan but china has changed it after the occupancy and named it as Sincan means ‘newly occupied area’. Actually to call this area as sincan not as east Turkistan means that you maintain an political attitude on the side of occupancy and see the area just like communist china. The business of governments is not to find new names for the states but to bring justice and service to those places. Since those times the history of east Turkistan is full of examples that the occupant has performed every kind of non-humanist lawlessness bountifully and fearlessly on victims. The priority of occupancy is to destroy the demographic structure of the area. Consequently on one side they exiled Uighurs for lame excuses and for working on the other side they make mass of Chinese settle down the country. As the natural conclusion of this politic an important number of Uighur population has left the country and they causes one of the biggest Diaspora of the world. At communist regime they apply compulsory abortion and they did not record the children more than the legal number to the civil registry. Because of this tricks Chinese population and Uighur population are nearly the same numbers. Uighurs are more backward at education, health and economical conditions than Chinese immigrants. Religious education is forbidden. Children under 18, women, civil servants, party members are forbidden to enter mosques. Nuclear tests are made at the places where Uighurs live so there is an almost ethnical annihilation because of the radiation.
If we look all the events as a whole;
• Compulsory immigration and Chinese settlement to the area
• Cultural and religious bans and constrains
• Disadvantages at education, economy and health
• Compulsory abortion
• Deprivation from civil rights by not recording children to the civil registry
• Making peaceful demonstrations as an occasion for extra judicial executions
• Arbitrary custody and executions after unfair and fast judicial process
• And the most desperate one is maintaining nuclear tests at the area
We see that a very desperate situation continues in east Turkistan which deserves to be called as ‘ethnical cleaning’ according to universal humanist laws but the world remains unresponsive to this events.
Without a doubt China’s biggest confederate while committing this kind of crimes against humanity is capitalist world. It is capitalist world which make Uighurs work under near the same conditions with slaves and exploit them immorally, again it is capitalist world which consumes the products of cheap Chinese labor force with its everlasting ambition and manipulative silence.
Simplifying the massacre of 5 July afternoon and calling it as a simple conflict between two worker groups is misleading the public opinion. China is trying to show this massacre as a street conflict between two ethnical groups. Communist china takes over the region’s politic of empire china and continues the politic as it is. We evaluate all of them as china’s endeavor to escape from the court of history. Although China is trying to hide the facts, the reason of the protest movements is that Uighurs have been exposed to inhuman treatment for more than 100 years and their fundamental rights and freedoms are violated despotically.
Chinese government should immediately stop its despotic treatments and its violating the human rights. The government should respect the human rights of Muslim Uighurs. China hinder the communication rights to hide these movements from the eyes of world but it should give the legal communication right of east Turkistan to both east Turkistan and all international associations.
We as MAZLUMDER, invite particularly the United Nations and all the countries, every kind of associations and establishments, non-governmental organizations and all the conscientious people who support human rights to react and come out against china’s savagery in east Turkistan.
The humanitarian aid to East Turkistan is hindered by triple coalition government with the prime minister circular letter no 36 on 23 December 1998, We as MAZLUMDER, evaluate the circular letter as ‘sacrificing morality and legal system to real politic’ and want government to stop this process.
We as MAZLUMDER, announce to public that we will follow this bloody event happening in east Turkistan in front of the eyes of the world and also we will follow every kind of human rights violation.
